Dear Simon,
We want to say a huge thank you to you for your amazing service at our wedding "Ben and Toni (12/11/2011). We were so happy with your service in SO many ways.
You really helped to make our event.
You were more like a wedding planner than just a caterer. A little joke amongst us was when I (Toni) would say Simon says...implying we should probably do it.
From the DJ to the lighting, the very stylish Florence Broadhurst print cushions, ostrich feather arrangements, hire furniture and timing of the day - if you said it we put a lot of weight on your advice.
You inspired confidence from the beginning and even went beyond our high expectations of you. Great work on the position for the beach and the set up, the styling and the little touches like taking notice of the bride as she emerged from her room and taking the time for some gentle words of advice for the day.
You were responsive, prompt and meticulous in addressing our requirements at every step of the way.
The food was spectacular. It was fresh, tasty, and so well presented. Your "food moments" were so well considered and kept interest throughout the day.
You and the chef as you said added a theatrical touch and your talented friendly staff added the finishing touches to those little food experiences.
Thank you so much Simon. You are an inspiration.

Well, what a celebration that date proved to be.
Simon, I have you to thank for a great part of the success of the evening. The food was sumptuous, a feast for the eyes and the senses and this was the thread that enveloped the night. (Note to self – never be overruled by the photographer and if mezze appear, taste them and forego the lipstick.) Rumour had it that the humble olive in the mezze was orgasmic – not sure how you managed to do that.
Your organisation was impeccable, your suggestions were wise and every cent paid was well worth the cost.
All the young girls wanted to marry you – one can understand why.

Dear Simon,
I write to thank you for the wonderful food and service you provided
for my Husband’s 40th Birthday last weekend.
Your attention to detail was sensational and I certainly appreciate
the time that you took to help me plan the event.
The Menu was just perfect – it was truly delicious and self serve
which meant that I could relax and enjoy the party with the Birthday
Boy and our Guests.
In particular the Mangomisu was the absolute “showstopper”. I have
heard from many of my friends who are now in there respective corners
of Australia who are still dreaming of that perfect end to the meal
savoured while enjoying the magic view from Coopers Shoot.

From the first phone call to the final speech at our event, Simon was full of enthusiasm and passion for creating exactly the party I had envisaged and more! He was cool, calm and collected about everything involved with the set up of our event...from amazing menu selections with deserts to match to decorating and even sourcing props!
Nothing was too much trouble. EatDrink is the the dream catering company.
Thank you so much for a unique and magical night.

Hi Simon,
Now that the dust has settled and we slip into married life, I wanted to send you and your staff a HUGE thank you for being so completely wonderful on our wedding day and throughout the whole process.
Given that the weather was nothing short of atrocious, the staff were simply brilliant: every guest has commented on their friendliness, efficiency and graciousness - not too mention keeping the food dry from the torrential rain!
We always had a fresh glass of bubbles and were discreetly brought plates of food when needed - it is easy to forget to eat when the centre of attention. Both of our families were also taken care of so well, my mother is singing your praises still.
The canapes were divine - delivered in a timely fashion and everyone was served. I did note the hoards on attack at the main marquee entrance, kudos to your team for diverting to another doorway so all could enjoy. The beetroot tartlets were a hit.
I am so glad we chose the Moroccan Food Station - perfect for such inclement weather. We loved that you themed the serving table and again all of our guests were more than impressed, as were we.
In short, you were a lifesaver. Calling the absent band, getting me a massage, assisting with the decorations - I am truly grateful. The rain was enough to spike my stress levels but you were an excellent calming influence.
Simon, I now know why your reputation is so good. So do all of our guests.
I will send referrals through to anyone I know having a function/event.
Lastly, I think you're tops!

Thank you so much for the most amazing menu and food on Saturday. The comments from our guests were overwhelming! From the antipasto, amazing beetroot tartlets, seafood bar, really good chips (people honestly said the best they'd ever had!) fish, gelato, it was truly spectacular.
It made us feel so confident how hands on you were with absolutely everything, attention to detail was amazing. We honestly can't thank you enough.
Anyone putting on a wedding or event on in Byron lock Simon in ASAP! It made our wedding.

Dear Simon,
I can't believe it has already been over a month since our wedding. I finally just got a hold of Stephen's photo's, and it brought it all back in a big way...
I wanted to say thank you so much for the perfect evening you served up for Justin & I, and all our guests. We had so many compliments on the food.
Lucie and Michael were just fantastic, (I didn't have an empty glass the whole night!) and once again, our guests complimented, this time the service - they were just brilliant.
I also wanted to thank Jeremy (nice clean dishes!!) even though I didn't get it meet him.
The only down point to the whole evening, was that we didn't get to feast on all the canapes during the photos.. If I had a suggestion to anyone getting married having you as their caterer, it would be that if they have the time, have an early ceremony, get the photo's done, then mingle with your guests and enjoy your food (and drink of course!).
So thank you for saving some of the delights when we arrived back from the photo's.
The rest of the meal was divine, delicious, right on cue - you obviously know your stuff!
We want to wish you and EatDrink the best of luck with your business, although something tells me you won't be needing it.

Just a short note to tell you how much impact EatDrink had on our girl’s weekend.
Although competing with the breathtaking Emerald Valley Villa and its surrounds, your catering was the highlight of our get-away.
All of us absolutely loved each of the three dinners and the brunch that you put together for us. The food was delicious, the presentation exquisite, and the service so genuinely warm and attentive.
From my first dealings with you, noting your willingness to put time and effort into collaborating to create the perfect menus, your sourcing our favourite ingredients and inventing new recipes, to your willingness to mix cocktails or warm sake at a moment’s notice, everything was perfect.
I would recommend EatDrink without hesitation, and hope we have an occasion to see EatDrink again in the future.

Hi Simon,
We just wanted to say a really big "Thank You" to you and your staff for making our wedding a fantastic night and memorable event. Many people have said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to.
The beautiful food and wait staff service was a major factor to this. Thank you so much for all of your help with the marquee - it really made the night, even though it didn't rain. It was like a big dinner party ! Also with the table sizes - you were so right, I wouldn't have wanted them any smaller.
The Banquet was sensational - everyone loved this and we had so many positive comments on the quality and presentation of the food. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.
Finally, the staff - we had so many comments on how friendly, courteous, efficient and unobtrusive they were. Everybody had a great time with them, and we had lots of comments on how they loved the introduction of the food at each table.
Once again, Thank you to you and your staff for a wonderful, wonderful night.

Dear Simon,
Steve & I would like to thank you for helping us create a magical and memorable dinner party to celebrate Steves’ 50th birthday.
…Moving up to the house was a beautiful setting to walk into – the table looked fantastic, the lighting, music and the house itself created the exact feel we were going for…
The dinner served was delicious. Your recommendation to have it banquet style was spot on. There was no rush, between dishes we all got to move around and talk to different people and everyone went back to their seats at their leisure to help themselves to more food.
Food presentation was terrific and each dish was explained in detail by your staff to smaller groups around the table rather than the whole table having to stop conversation and listen as one…. Dinner service gave justice to the fabulous food you had prepared. Overall the service was executed with style.
I received many comments from my friends that night regarding the food and service – most were amazed at the professionalism and knowledge of your staff…
The debrief the next day and from the week that has just passed I think can be summed up by one of our friends who said “normally when I tell people about a great night we’ve had, I embellish a little – this night needed no embellishment.
It was perfect”.
…Steve & I won’t be able to top this night (nor will we try!)

Launch of the new VW Golf
George P. Johnson recently staged a large scale corporate event at the very exclusive Emerald Valley Villas, in the Byron Bay hinterland. The food and beverage component of this event required the skill and creativity of a top class catering company.
From the inception, EatDrink’s proprietor Simon Ruffell was a pleasure to deal with. His professionalism and friendliness made the job a lot easier. In our planning stages, Simon had great suggestions and options, ensuring we could deliver the best possible event for our client.
Across the two days of our event, Simon and the whole team operated extremely
professionally and efficiently. It was clear that their over arching concern was to help us make a great and enjoyable event for our client.
Despite several last minute changes, including a much tighter time frame on the day, EatDrink delivered the same wonderful,high quality food and service.
Absolutely nothing was ever too much trouble for the team, even under considerable pressure. The finished product was always delivered with a sense of humour and a smile.
Our client and their guests were extremely happy with the catering over the two days, and were blown away by the overwhelming freshness and quality of the food…In addition, EatDrink’s presentation of all food and beverage was
impeccable, and really added that extra special touch to the day.

Hi Simon,
Now that the 'wedding dust' has settled, we just wanted to officially thank you and your staff for helping us make Lauren and Beau's wedding such a spectacular success. All of our guests were in awe of the property and the location...... the fantastic food just topped it off!
The quality, presentation and service met and exceeded our expectations. Thank-you also for your support, advice and professionalism in the weeks leading up to the event….
The canapes were excellent and a great tease as we awaited the noodle bar. Again, the presentation, quantity and quality was spot on. As you know, we were a little anxious that a 'noodle bar' for a wedding may not have been appropriate, however, your conviction that it would work paid off.
It reflected the whole theme and ambience of the evening, it was an inter-active experience for the guests and gave them an opportunity to select from the great range. We had great positive feed-back.
Beau and Lauren were thrilled with everything, as were we. The staff, both bar and wait staff, really looked after us to ensure we didn't miss out, as can so often happen when you are the host.
Thanks again.... we enjoyed doing business with you.
