+ Do you cater for guests with allergies and dietary requirements?

Yes. One of our quote questions is what Dietary requirements you have. The week of your event our team will determine what substitutes will be offered and on the day we have a dedicated staff member to look after these guests. Within our team we have a dedicated vegan and vegetarian chef to ensure delicious, beautiful and creative dishes to suit.

+ Does your quote include additional hire costs such as table settings?

Yes. Once we know if you want Eatdrink to provide these items we will include them in your quote. Every event is unique and some clients may be hiring from elsewhere, or already have whats needed at their venue. Your Quoting manager knows all the many items needed to ensure your event has everything required, with no double ups. As your quote progresses we’ll ask all the questions to ensure this and provide a comprehensive spreadsheet to show exactly who is supplying what.

+ What bar service do you offer? Can we provide our own alcohol?

We provide everything from full bar service to simply the catering - you may have your own bar service sorted elsewhere. If Eatdrink provides bar service, we offer a range of levels from skeleton staff right up to the full cocktail shaking monty - we’ll customise your bar quote based on your priorities and budget. Full bar service may include all set ups and pack down, organising your bar hire requirements, cocktail recipes and production, provision of garnishes, advise on quantities for you to provide and any other professional advice you may need.

+ How long does it take your staff to set-up and break down?

Every job is different, especially when factoring in your venue logistics & locations to use within the property, other suppliers who may be helping with set up, and finally the weather. Our Quoting manager asks all the questions to ensure we have just the right amount of time to do the set ups and pack downs that you require, including if you would like our team to set your tables or not. Your quote will show a running schedule and staffing estimate to reflect the level of set up and pack down assistance you require.

+ When do you need the final guest count?

Assuming your event is on a Saturday, we generally ask for final numbers of larger events no later than the Monday prior (or about 5 days before). For larger events we encourage all information to be finalised at least one week out to avoid last minute rushes with information - this can be stressful. We appreciate last minute changes can also occur and do our best to accomodate when this happens, based on when your catering supplies have been purchased.

+ What are your recommendations to save on my budget?

Because every client different, Eatdrink has put considerable effort into designing a tailor made quoting process which lets you create the perfect service to suit your budget - this means you can save where you want to and focus your spend on whats most important to you. Within your quote are options to save on all the expenses that form your total catering cost, whether it be on staffing, hire items or on the actual menu itself. Our team is on call to talk you through this and help recommend what the best saving options are that suit you.

+ Can you help with styling and coordination?

Yes. Within our team we have a dedicated professional stylist and co-ordinator to assist with all aspects of your event additional to your catering service. Our team all work together from the same office to ensure a total one-stop shop cohesive event, which ensures a super easy, affordable and comprehensive event service. Our co-ordination service includes some of the more popular packages such as "on the day”, “week out" or "month out", but can just as easily be customised at an hourly rate so its a perfect fit. On the day you get your very own dream team, who work seamlessly together to make it all happen.

+ Can you cut our cake?

Yes. Eatdrink is happy to cut and serve your cake should you choose to do this instead of having one of ours. But we do recommend visiting our cake brochure and dessert options first! We understand that some guests have a friend or family member who contribute with a cake, and so our Chefs and waiters can stay on to prepare, set up and serve this for you. Your quoting manager will ask all the questions to ensure everything is organised for this, including a cake stand, cutting knife, crockery, cutlery and any accompaniments to your cake you may like Eatdrink to supply.

+ What is the minimum and maximum guest count?

Eatdrink doesn't have a minimum or maximum guest count. But we do generally have a minimum spend to ensure the event remains viable. To assist us with this we have a tiered surcharge system for smaller numbers, this is clearly outlined in the quote and applied to the quote when required.

+ Can you travel from Byron Bay?

Eatdrink has knives and will travel. We cater weekly to the Gold Coast and often further afield, including country properties that require a full off-site catering service (which is one of our particular areas of expertise). Eatdrink has catered across NSW, QLD & the Great Barrier Reef and further afield to New Zealand as well!. We can also offer suggestions on working together with local staff to help save on any travel costs associated with the event.
